Welcome Events and Contact Points
At a Glance
The University of Vienna offers orientation events and contact points to help new employees settle in, connect with colleagues, and understand the organisation. In addition to these general events, most units, faculties, and doctoral schools also organise their own smaller welcome sessions.
Welcome brunch for all new employees
You are warmly invited to the Welcome Brunch, an event held regularly in German and English for new employees across all faculties and departments.
It is a chance to meet colleagues beyond your own unit and make your first connections at the university with representatives of the Rectorate, works councils, the Equal Opportunities Working Party, and experienced colleagues. Get insights into key services, interest groups, and the university as an employer.
Registration required
Please register via the WIKI intranet. Log in with your u:account and navigate to the Welcome Brunch registration page: Welcome Brunch.
